Auf der anderen Seite

German cinema in general is shit. But I must say that Auf der anderen Seite is a super good film. After having seen some of the director's earlier films like the god-awful Im Juli I could barely believe that this movie was from the same writer/director. Fatih Akin has proved himself with his last two films to be the best filmmaker in Germany, as far as I am concerned, and I totally look forward to his next offering, Soul Kitchen, out later this year.
